The Sotheby's exhibition at Sudeley Castle

This exhibition presented fine pieces of contemporary art in one of the most beautiful locations, the Sudeley Castle.

The perfect excuse took us to immerse in the very hearth of the British country side, 25 pieces randomly located around the gardens of this castle from the 10th century, very enjoyable indeed!

Isle of Wight

Spent a day off in ‘Isle of Wight’ with some friends. Early in the morning the weather was miserable and we thought it would not be worth going there but out of the blue all it changed and we enjoyed of such a pleasant day. Queen Victoria fall in love for this island as it seems the weather is milder than in the rest of the UK but also because of the gorgeous scenery, plenty of cliffs and beaches. We took a ferry to get the isle and travelled around it the whole day stopping in different villages. My friends got too carried away to the point that they went swimming in bare underwear. Later on we had a sea-food platter and a couple of pints of cider while we re-evaluate our lives in here, nothing that transcendental but funny.

Windsor

Another magnificent day in the shire, the bright morning lured people to enjoy themselves in the parks, pubs, riverbanks... Windsor is the sort of places to go when we want to escape from busy London. Although we missed the change of guards, it happens everyday but Sundays, and we did not get into the Castle either (my friends are tired of seeing antique beds, jewels and chandeliers) we did enjoy of a relaxing day, a boat trip and a massive Sunday roast.

Cardiff's Castle

I’ve been to Cardiff’s Castle last week and found it quite interesting. The tour guide was very professional and explained us from floors to ceilings everything that might have deliberately put on a specific place. We wondered why the size of the rooms was smaller compared to today’s ones and came up with the difficulty of warming up large spaces.

Many objects refer to languages, science and time, in fact one of the most impressive rooms evokes time from days of the week, to zodiac signs, passing by seasons, planets, moon faces and so on and so forth. It’s a shame we couldn’t take pictures of it, the smoking room. In the picture, the arabic room's ceiling finished in gold.
