Time flies... 2006

Well, I must admit am a newbie with all this blog thing, or from a marketing perspective and using a technical term I’m a laggard, adopting fairly late to the trend; having said that, I should start by summarising the subject of the dissertation by which I'm going to be granted with the degree in Master in Business Administration, in fact one of the few things I've done this year.

Title: Future implications of hiring IT offshore outsourcing in the UK vs. Trantor’s collapse: a comparison

What I’ve done was establishing a comparison between the first chapters of one of the most remarkable sci-fi novels ever, Foundation by Assimov, and the future implications of keeping on hiring offshore outsourcing; to narrow it down the study was focused on financial corporations in the UK contracting IT services from mainly India.

Although in the end this comparison only helps to catch the reader's attention, it did make me go through a vast number of resources, such as books, papers, films and documentaries. I must add up that one of the most important contributions came from ‘The World is Flat’ by Friedman.
